TOPIC: Non Projected Aids
INTRODUCTION
Audio visual aids are those sensory objects or images which initiate or stimulate and reinforce learning. Audio visual aids or devices are added devices that help the teacher to clarify,establish,correlate and co-ordinate accurate concepts, interpretations,appreciations and enable him to make learning more concrete, effective, interesting,inspirational, meaningful and vivid. Audio visual aids are instructional devices which are used to communicate messages more effectively through sound and visuals. Audio visual aids help in stimulating the sensory organs like ears and eyes and facilitate quick comprehension of the message by the audience. Audio visual aids are classified into three Projected aids, Non projected aids and activity aids. Projected aids are pictures shown upon a screen by the use of a certain type of machine. Non projected visuals are those aids which are used without any projection. They translate abstract ideas into a more realistic format.

Some examples of non projected aids are Diagrams, Circle Graph and Pictorial Graph

CIRCLE GRAPH
A circle graph, or a pie chart, is used to visualize information and data. A circle graph is usually used to easily show the results of an investigation in a proportional manner. Pie chart is a special chart that uses pie slices to show relative sizes of data.
PICTORIAL GRAPH
A pictorial graph is a way of showing data using images. It is a pictorial display of data with symbols, icons, and pictures to represent different quantities. The symbols, icons, and pictures of a picture graph typically represent concepts or ideas or stand in for a larger quantity of something. Pictorial graph use actual pictures to show information which is used to convey the meaning of statistical information.

Non projected aids are those which require no projection material or any electric power. Which are mostly composed of study prints, charts, posters, maps, flash cards, photographs, textbook illustrations, and illustrations found in magazines and newspapers so they can be easily used in the teaching learning process. They do not need power source and apparatus to make them seen either on the wall or screen, they can be viewed straight as they are, they are flexible, these are the advantages of using non projected aids in the teaching learning process.
